Ordering and Delivery Timing

Most florists set a same-day delivery cutoff in the early to mid-afternoon. Orders placed after the cutoff are usually scheduled for next-day delivery. Cutoff times can vary by florist and by the day of the week (weekends and holidays often have earlier or limited delivery windows). To ensure delivery on a specific date, place your order at least 24–48 hours in advance whenever possible, and provide the full delivery address, recipient name, and any special instructions such as gate codes or preferred delivery times.

For deliveries to hospitals or funeral homes, include the recipient’s room number or the service time so flowers arrive when staff can accept them. If an address is in a gated community or requires special access, contact the florist in advance to confirm they can deliver under those conditions.

How Orders Are Fulfilled

When you place an order, florists may offer designer’s choice (a fresh arrangement in the price tier you select) or exact-substitution guarantees for specific bouquet types. If a requested flower or color is out of season, the florist will substitute similar blooms of equivalent value and style. Expect confirmation messages and an estimated delivery time; many florists also provide delivery notifications once the order is on its way.

Flower Care Tips

Keeping delivered flowers fresh helps them last longer. Follow these simple steps:

• Unwrap promptly and recut stems at an angle under clean water to improve water uptake.
• Use the floral preservative provided or change water daily and keep the vase clean.
• Remove any foliage below the waterline to reduce bacterial growth.
• Keep arrangements out of direct sunlight, away from heating vents, and away from ripening fruit (ethylene gas shortens vase life).
• Replace wilted blooms to refresh the look, and trim stems every few days.

Tips for Special Deliveries

For time-sensitive or high-profile deliveries—weddings, corporate events, or funeral arrangements—book as early as possible and confirm delivery windows the day before. Provide any venue rules, preferred arrival times, and a contact person at the delivery location to streamline handoff. For surprise deliveries, specify alternate delivery options in case the recipient is not home (leave with concierge, neighbor, or reschedule).

If you have questions about seasonal availability, custom design requests, or large-quantity orders, consult with your chosen florist in advance so they can source materials and plan delivery logistics. With a little preparation and clear instructions, flower delivery in Doraville, Georgia can be smooth, timely, and a memorable way to celebrate or comfort someone special.
